MVP (w/Mark Henry) vs. TED DiBiase, JR. (w/Cody Rhodes)
DiBiase and MVP had an even start to this match tonight on Superstars. MVP then knocked DiBiase to the floor going to break.
Back from break, Lawler said he passed Legacy in the hallway earlier today and they couldn’t stop from laughing at MVP not faring too well on “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?” DiBiase surmised MVP is stupid, according to Lawler. Action moved to the floor where DiBiase rammed MVP shoulder-first into the ringpost, then dragged him back into the ring for a pin and a two count. Match went into the basic formula machine with MVP teasing a comeback, only to have DiBiase cut him off and go back to working the shoulder. Cody then rammed the shoulder into the post behind the ref’s back. Another pin attempt by DiBiase, but only a two count. MVP then shrugged off DiBiase and made another comeback. MVP sold pain in the shoulder with each right hand blow before landing a running chinbreaker using his knee.
MVP then set up the Ballin’ elbow drop and connected. He wanted the Playmaker, but DiBiase spun out and kicked MVP in the gut. MVP shook it off, though, and nailed his running boot to the face for a two count. Cody then hopped on the apron, but Henry did his job by dropping Cody on the floor. Back in the ring, DiBiase tried his Dream Street finisher, but MVP countered with a small package to score the pin and the win. Afterward, MVP and Henry celebrated in the ring while DiBiase and Cody angrily walked around ringside. Superstars closed with MVP and Henry standing tall in the ring.
WINNER: MVP

MVP said Kofi impressed him with the statement he made about not getting pushed around by anyone when he smashed up Orton’s car. They showed a clip of last week’s six-man tag match ending with Henry pinning Rhodes. MVP proposed a toast to their team captain, Kofi. Orton, Rhodes, and DiBiase walked out. The Lounge bouncer/doorman let Legacy through the red ropes after a few seconds of contemplation and intimidation.
Orton said all three act like they’re on top of the world, but in reality they’re three low class street thugs. Orton said last week Henry stole a victory. He said MVP is “the definition of the common criminal.” He said Kofi should be in jail after what he did to his car. He said he plans to embarrass them and their entire team at Survivor Series. Rhodes said “Montel” may look MVP with designer shoes and a “cute little watch,” but his surroundings aren’t world class. DiBiase made fun of their “pleather” couches and $50 champagne. Orton said he, Rhodes, and DiBiase were born into the business and that’s where they belong, whereas Kofi, Henry, and MVP belong in the hood.

On Raw, Kofi Kingston has proven time and time again that he is one of the most exciting young ring warriors in WWE, and is truly a Superstar to watch. But in our nation’s capital, he’ll have one of the biggest matches of his career as he and his team go up against the squad of Randy Orton in a Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Team Match.
Though Orton may be more experienced than Kingston, the athletic Superstar has shown in recent weeks that he has exactly what it takes to hit The Viper where it hurts. As retaliation for Orton viciously attacking him after a match, Kingston sought out his nemesis’ personalized NASCAR racer and defaced it while The Legend Killer looked on, helpless to stop the automotive carnage. The two’s rivalry then expanded during a Six-Man Tag Team Match on Raw when Kingston and Orton were joined by fellow Survivor Series combatants, MVP & Mark Henry and Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, respectively.
In addition to R-Truth on the side of Kingston and the devious CM Punk teaming up with Orton, two of the top competitors in the Land of the Extreme, ECW Champion Christian and William Regal are also joining the fray. For months, The British Brawler has struggled to get the upperhand against Captain Charisma, and he might just have that chance when he joins up with Team Orton to face the ECW Champion and the rest of Team Kingston in a 10-Man Tag Team Match.
Don’t miss the epic confrontation between Team Kingston (Kofi Kingston, MVP, Mark Henry, ECW Champion Christian & R-Truth) and Team Orton (Randy Orton, CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase & William Regal) at the 23rd annual Survivor Series on Nov. 22, at 8/7 CT, live on pay-per-view.
